Servicing
1. Very important to service once a year
2. This is more important than servicing your motor vehicle because the water that is left in the exhaust
cooling water box causes rust and corrosion in the watercraft motor.
3. The fuel tank if not used for 3 months or more will have contaminated fuel that has lost its octane
level and can cause damage to the motor.
4. Trailer wheel bearings also need stripping, washing, re-greasing and new seals every year if stored, as
the water can’t heat up and boil off and the bearings can collapse and the whole hub come off the
axle, incurring major axle replacement costs and inconvenience.
FRESH WATER USE
1. When removing ski from water on trailer start unit for 20 seconds at idle – no water attached, rev
twice and switch off.
2. Start engine and let it idle on the trailer no water for 20 seconds once a week to remove
condensation from the exhaust valves, rings and sleeves.
3. Keep battery charged on C tek trickle charger for a day, once a month. We sell in stock.
4. Remove seat after use for 2 days to dry out engine compartment, to prevent condensation and rust
occurring.
Sea water use
In addition to Fresh water use:
1. After use in sea water flush engine with fresh water for 2 minutes on hose pipe.
2. Finish flushing with Salt Away – using the Salt Away adapter. See YouTube videos on Salt away
flushing of watercraft procedure on Google.
BEFORE EACH USE
1. Check drain plugs are in place
2. Check coolant level
3. Check oil level
4. Check that unit starts and runs 20 seconds before placing it in the water to use.
